2 Supergirls for the price of one!
This issue begins with Linda being a good citizen by donating blood. Obviously this isn’t a good idea. Blood is checked after you donate it, one would think that maybe Kryptonian blood might be different from human blood. Linda uses a piece of red Kryptonite to make her vulnerable from the waist up. While still in the hospital Linda’s school pal Debbie Porter is brought into the emergency room after being involved in an auto accident.
Shockingly, Linda sees another Supergirl, this one helps crooks instead of stopping them! This ‘Supergirl’ is also pretending to be the real one around Linda’s adoptive parents.
It turns out that the evil-Supergirl is Linda’s friend Debbie. She gained super-powers (and an evil outlook on life) after receiving an infusion of Linda’s blood. Thankfully super-powers received through a blood transfusion last only 48 hours. [So this happens often enough Linda knows the half-life of super-powers received this way but still gave blood.] After the 48 hours pass Debbie gets better but looses both her super-powers and her memories of being an evil Supergirl.
