Legion of Three Worlds in 30 Seconds Recap
Chris Sims (Hi!!!) posted his Fourth Annual 30 Second Recap Contest on his site and one of the entries (a finalist to boot) was “Legion of Three Worlds in 30 Seconds“. Check it out, it is HILARIOUS in a ‘sad but true’ kinda way.
Adventure Comics #314 Nov. 1963
Alaktor (your typical mad scientist) pretends to try out for a spot in the Legion. His ulterior motive is to sneak into the clubhouse, steal a time bubble and travel through time recruiting three of history’s biggest assholes. It’s all very ‘Big & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’-like.

Quite the cover, right? It has very little to do with the plot but it’s a ‘eye catcher’. This is part one of a two-part storyline (see here for part two). Vorm the space pirate infiltrates the Legion. He then frames the Legionnaires for some petty crimes and boots them out of the Legion.
Legion logos
While rereading the first issue of the threeboot Legion I remembered something that I’d noticed a while back about the Legion logo. The old logo has a ‘shooting star’ above the ‘L’ with the star falling while the threeboot logo has the star shooting up. Does anyone know if there’s any significance to that change? Check it out after the break.
